Canada offers a plethora of exciting travel experiences and boasts numerous tourism attractions. However, Tribal DDB was faced with the challenge of conveying this to busy, preoccupied Americans. It did so by creating an inspired peer-to-peer campaign which was built through the use of innovative social media channels.
The campaign installed giant interactive murals around New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. These murals displayed live twitter postings and photos from travelers enjoying their trips in Canada. Even hassled passersby could take pause and interact with the thousands of experiences being posted to the mural in real time. This self-sustaining campaign proved an effective way to shed light on all of the amazing things happening in Canada and entice the American city dwellers to plan vacations so that they too could generate exciting material to post to the mural and help perpetuate the flow of tourists to destinations around Canada.
