Tribal Worldwide Earns Seven Nominations and Four Honorees at The 18th Annual Webby Awards

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) today announced the Nominees for the 19th Annual Webby Awards, including eleven honors for Tribal Worldwide offices New York, Amsterdam and Toronto. Winners will be celebrated at a star-studded ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, May 18, hosted by critically acclaimed actor and comedian Hannibal Buress.

Also, standout campaigns created by Tribal Worldwide, including the six “Nominees” below, will contend for The Webby People’s Voice Awards. This award is voted on by the industry at large and voting is open now until 11:59 p.m. PST on Thursday April 23 at

This year’s Webby Awards received nearly 13,000 entries from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 60 countries worldwide. Less than 8 percent of this year’s entries were selected as nominees.

Tribal DDB Shanghai was ranked number one Digital Agency in China, while DDB Shanghai has been ranked as the number one Most Effective Agency based on the results from 2011 China Effie Awards. The awards were presented on Friday night, 29 June, 2012 at the 2011 China Effie Effectiveness Index dinner in Beijing. This is the first year the China Effie Effectiveness Index has been officially revealed and a first for China’s marketing & communication Industry to set a benchmark for effective creativity.

Tribal DDB Wins SXSW Interactive Award

Tribal DDB Amsterdam took top honors in the Music category at the SXSW Interactive Awards this week ( for their work on Philips’ “Obsessed with Sound” campaign.

The winners were announced March 13, 2012, at the 15th Annual SXSW Interactive Awards ceremony in Austin, Texas. The SXSW Interactive Music category rewards exceptional projects related to musicians, bands, and the music industry as a whole.

Philips’ ”Obsessed with Sound” is an interactive music video featuring a performance by the Dutch Metropole Orchestra. The premise of the ”Obsessed with Sound” campaign is that Philips makes it possible to hear every detail. The website gives the audience a unique opportunity to see and hear the Grammy award-winning orchestra as they perform a specially composed orchestral piece to demonstrate the crispness of the sound.

Tribal DDB Worldwide announced today that it was among the select companies that Forrester Research, Inc., invited to participate in its January 2012 report, “The Forrester Wave™: US Digital Agencies — Mobile Marketing Strategy And Execution, Q1 2012.” In this evaluation, Tribal DDB was cited as a “Leader” in mobile marketing. Forrester examined solutions from nine digital agencies with mobile marketing services, and its Wave methodology places agencies in four “waves”: Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders, and Risky.

Tribal DDB Wins Gold at the Internationalist Awards

Tribal DDB has been awarded a gold trophy for its work for Intel at The Internationalist Awards, which took place in New York last night. Intel’s “The Escape,” campaign developed by Tribal DDB Hong Kong and DDB Hong Kong, won in the Innovative Digital Marketing Solutions category.

The Internationalist’s Third Annual Awards for Innovative Digital Marketing Solutions are a response to marketers asking for international best practice examples of digital solutions that enhance brands and bring results.

DDB Group Singapore Wins Agency of the Year at Marketing’s AOTY Awards

DDB and Tribal DDB Take Top Honors in Creative, Branding and Digital.

DDB Group Singapore stole the show when it clinched the coveted blue cube and claimed the title as Overall Agency of the Year at Marketing Magazine’s Singapore Agency of the Year Awards 2011, held on Wednesday, June 1.

In addition, the Omnicom-led agency group also took top honours in key categories – DDB won two Gold awards and title as Creative Agency of the Year and Brand Consultancy Agency of the Year; while Tribal DDB Singapore was awarded the Gold standard and named Digital Agency of the Year.
