Tribal Worldwide’s Holiday Card Allows This Year’s Dinner Celebration to Do More Than Just Taste Good, It Can Also Do Good. For every holiday food photo shared through The Lunchbox Fund’s FEEDIE app, a meal will be donated to a hungry child in South Africa
Tribal Worldwide today launched the New York office’s 2013 holiday card, “The Tribal Table,” which provides people with a chance to donate a meal to a hungry child by sharing a picture of their home-cooked, holiday meal via FEEDIE, the first-ever philanthropy app for foodies. The app taps into existing foodie behavior and current technology, inspiring foodies to leverage their passion for sharing photos of food and share actual food with those in need.
The Tribal Table marks the second installment of The Lunchbox Fund’s FEEDIE program created by Tribal’s New York office, which launched in October. This is the first time food photos taken outside of participating restaurants can be used to donate meals through FEEDIE.
Rich Guest, US President of Tribal Worldwide, said, “In the spirit of the holiday season, we wanted to make sure that our good tidings to the agency’s clients and partners would do more than clutter an email inbox, that they could help those closest to the agency give back to the world at large. And we believe that The Tribal Table, in partnership with The Lunchbox Fund and FEEDIE, will do just that. I’m looking forward to seeing a new group of foodies discover FEEDIE from the comfort of their own homes.”
It’s easy to put food on “The Tribal Table”:
-Download The Lunchbox Fund’s FEEDIE app.
-Using the app, photograph your holiday meal, and set “The Tribal Table” as your location.
-Share your photo.
-For this effort, Tribal Worldwide pledges to donate up to 8,000 meals to The Lunchbox Fund.
“The Tribal Table” will be sent electronically to Tribal Worldwide’s friends, colleagues and associates, and will be promoted through social media. To visit the website, please go to www.thetribaltable.com.
